मुंबई : महाराष्ट्र रक्षणासाठी सज्ज झालेल्या कोविड योद्ध्यांचे मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे यांनी आभार मानले असून प्रत्येक कोविड योध्याला उद्देशून लिहिलेल्या पत्रात शस्त्राने नाही तर सेवेने आपल्याला हे युद्ध आपण जिंकायचे आहे असे आवाहनत्यांनी केले आहे
मुख्यमंत्री आपल्या पत्रात पुढे म्हणतात की, आपल्या सर्वांना वैयक्तिक स्वरूपात पत्र लिहितांना महाराष्ट्राचा मुख्यमंत्री म्हणून माझी छाती अभिमानाने फुलून गेली आहे. हीच आपल्या महाराष्ट्राची आणि मराठी मातीची महान परंपरा आहे. संकटकाळात तो मागे हटत नाही. सह्याद्रीच्या दऱ्याखोऱ्याप्रमाणे कणखर होतो. आज आपण सगळेच कोरोनाच्या भीषण संकटाशी युद्ध करत आहोत. हे युद्ध साधे नाही. या युद्ध संकटात एक “सैनिक” बनून आपण कोविड योद्धा म्हणून मैदानात उतरला आहात. माझ्या आवाहनाला प्रतिसाद देत महाराष्ट्र रक्षणासाठी सज्ज झाला आहात, हे निश्चितच कौतुकास्पद आहे.
हे युद्ध सुद्धा सीमेवरील सैनिकांप्रमाणेच लढावे लागेल. महाराष्ट्राचा प्रत्येक नागरिक जणू आज एक सैनिक बनूनच संकटाचा मुकाबला करतांना दिसत आहे. आपणासारखे कोविड योद्धे आता युद्धात उतरल्याने मला मुख्यमंत्री म्हणून मोठे बळ मिळाले आहे. ही एक प्रकारे देश आणि देवपुजाच आहे. हीच आपली संस्कृती आहे. शस्त्रापेक्षा ही मोहीम आपल्याला सेवेने जिंकायची आहे. थोडक्यात सेवा हेच आपले शस्त्र राहिल. हा महाराष्ट्र, महाराष्ट्रातील जनता आपल्या रक्ताची आणि नात्याचीच आहे. महाराष्ट्राच्या हाकेला प्रतिसाद देत आपण पराक्रमाच्या परंपरेस जपत आहात. आपले आभार कसे मानवेत ? ही सेवा महाराष्ट्राच्या व शिवरायांच्या चरणी रजू झाल्याशिवाय राहणार नाही.
